摘要: We previously studied the association between fish consumption and prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2D) in Manitoba Ontario First Nations (FNs), Canada found different results. In this study, we used a difference model to analyze data. Dietary health data from Food Nutrition Environment Study, cross-sectional study 706 1429 FNs were analyzed. The was estimated using food frequency questionnaire. Fish samples analyzed for dichloro diphenyldichloro ethylene (DDE) polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) content. Difference results showed that persistent organic pollutant (POP) exposure positively associated with T2D dose-response manner. Stronger positive associations among females (OR = 14.96 (3.72–60.11)) than males 2.85 (1.14–8.04)). breakpoints DDE PCB intake 2.11 ng/kg/day 1.47 ng/kg/day, respectively. Each further 1 increase increased risk ORs 2.29 (1.26–4.17) 1.44 (1.09–1.89), Our findings suggest balance benefits is highly dependent on regional POP concentrations fish.
