摘要: Rapid on-site evaluation improves the quality of medical care and decrease health costs by reducing rate non-diagnostic specimens, unnecessary passes repeat procedures. The increase in number minimally invasive procedures performed different subspecialties sites can outstrip cytology staff capacity most institutions. Telecytology is useful large volume settings as it one pathologist support multiple simultaneously, thus increasing time efficiency without loss quality. There are platforms available for image transmission including static live transmission, each which has its own advantages disadvantages. selection equipment (hardware software) should be based on volume, budget workflow institution. Validation before implementation clinical use mandatory US simulate anticipated workflow.
