摘要: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Meningiomas are very commonly diagnosed intracranial primary neoplasms, of which the chordoid subtype is seldom encountered. Our aim was to retrospectively review preoperative MR imaging meningiomas, a rare WHO grade II variant, in an effort determine if there exist distinguishing characteristics that can aid differentiating this atypical variety from other meningioma subtypes. MATERIALS METHODS: Ten cases were at our institution over 11-year span, 8 had available for and included analysis. Chordoid characteristics, including ADC values normalized ratios, compared with those 80 consecutive I meningioma, 21 nonchordoid 1 case III meningioma. RESULTS: Preoperative revealed no significant differences size, location, signal or contrast enhancement between meningiomas meningiomas. There were, however, clear mean absolute value 1.62 ± 0.33 × 10−3 mm2/s ratio 2.22 0.47 values, respectively, 0.88 0.13 1.17 0.16 benign 0.84 0.11 1.11 0.15 0.57 0.75 CONCLUSIONS: have statistically elevations when all I, II, subtypes, enables reliable prediction histopathologic diagnosis.
