Current-shunt system for known conductors

摘要: A system for measuring currents flowing through a conductor uses the current-carrying itself as measurement shunt. The voltage developed across inherent resistance of fixed length is measured and scaled to provide displayable magnitude equal current in conductor. Compensation temperature rise can be utilized, multimeter accommodating various materials and/or sizes.
