摘要: We investigated the effects of insect-attracting ultraviolet lights on activity forest bats (Microchiroptera) with prediction that would increase our indices bat and improve species identification recorded echolocation calls. Insect aggregations were created tracks (n = 9) near Kioloa, New South Wales, using three vertically stratified insect light traps. Bat calls a ground-based oriented Anabat II detection system. foraging rates higher at lit points than unlit points, particularly when operated in full darkness. More identified sampling time required to identify second fifth new was 3.3–4.6 times shorter lights. The presence resulted greater number passes more five pulses length, which associated an increased ability level. Our study demonstrates use forest-based surveys can inventories, communities where overlap call characteristics among is common.
