摘要: Abstract The ultrastructure of the connective tissue adjacent to enamel organ and periodontal ligament proper rat lower incisor tooth was studied. Two zones on side could be distinguished; an inner zone with many layers flattened fibroblasts between which were loosely-packed collagen fibrils orientated parallel longitudinal axis tooth, outer alveolar consisting cells, ground substance, blood vessels few, if any, fibrils. Comparisons made this proper. Following root resection, changes in aspect periodontium observed. For approximately 200 μm behind resected socket lined enamel-organ cells possessing processes projected into space, beyond by fibroblasts. line demarcation last cell first fibroblast indicated a basal lamina. More distant from base thickness lining became reduced until represented only two or three layers.
