摘要: A technology is presented called 3D virtual colonoscopy, which incorporates several advanced visualization techniques to enable the physician virtually examine inner surface of entire colon for identifying and inspecting colonic polyps. We first describe our unique process acquiring reconstructing a patient's model, followed by novel algorithms that we have developed provide automatic planned navigations as well interactive guided inside colon. Finally, present experimental results on simulated plastic pipe phantom, Visible Human data set, patient data.
