摘要: Objective The purpose of this study was to compare bodyweight and composition (percent fat, fat mass, fat-free mass) in neonates born mothers with a normal pregravid body mass index (BMI; 2 ) vs an overweight/obese BMI (≥ 25 kg/m ). Study Design Seventy-two (33 from 39 mothers) singleton pregnancies glucose tolerance had their assessed by air-displacement plethysmography. Results After controlling for neonate age at time testing, significant differences were found between groups percent (12.5 ± 4.2% 13.6 4.3%; P ≤ .0001), (414.1 264.2 448.3 262.2 g; .05), (3310.5 344.6 3162.2 343.4 no birth length (50.7 2.6 49.6 cm; = .08) or birthweight (3433.0 396.3 3368.0 399.6 .44). Conclusion Neonates who have significantly less total relative more than mothers. Although preliminary, these data suggest that the antecedents future disease risk (eg, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity) occur early life.
