摘要: Background Implant site preparation usually consists of several consecutive drilling steps, performed using different burs with increasing diameter. Purpose The purpose the present study was to report clinical outcomes edentulous patients that underwent implant treatment, in which a special bur allows single step used. Material and Methods One hundred forty-nine (79 males, 70 females, mean age 51.8 ± 12.2 [SD] years, range 20–80 years) have been rehabilitated oral surgery procedures. A total 350 implants were inserted (171 maxilla 179 mandible). barrier membrane used for covering 126 implants. Fifteen placed by osteotome technique 52 lateral sinus lift procedure. Eighty-nine postextraction sockets. Thirty-six immediate loading. Implant survival, peri-implant bone level change, patients' satisfaction main variables assessed. Results No patient dropout occurred. The follow-up on basis 21.5 ± 3.1 months (range 12–27 months). seven failures recorded six patients, leading survival 98.0% (96.0% basis). loss after 1 year 0.58 ± 0.44 mm (n = 282). Apart from failures, no biological nor mechanical complications All demonstrated full satisfaction. Conclusions The use reduction time needed surgical procedure, without compromising outcomes. Further, long-term comparative studies are confirm results this study.
