摘要: Emerging conceptualizations of a 'four pillar' model sustainability, which include cultural vitality, environmental responsibility, economic health, and social equity as the basis community resiliency (Hawkes 2001), have influenced variety local planning initiatives in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Caribbean, Europe. Focusing on dimension this sustainability framework, paper explores conceptual operational challenges gaps that are highlighted is applied contexts. Methodologically, primarily based review analysis strategic approaches to conceptually operationally integrate culture within located two sources: (1) Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP) guides developed by provinces municipal associations, (2) selection ICSPs individual communities. In closing, reflects process migration or adaptation paradigms framework observed these ICSP materials other initiatives.
