Co-occurrence of eating disorders and alcohol use disorders in women: a meta analysis.

摘要: This meta analysis involved 41 studies published between January of 1985 and May 2006, which examined the co-occurrence eating disorders (ED) alcohol use (AUD) in women. Studies were reviewed a quantitative synthesis their results was carried out via calculation standardised effect sizes. Direction strength relationships AUD specific disordered patterns examined. Heterogeneity reported also assessed Only 4 negative associations ED AUD. The magnitude eating-disordered ranged from small to medium size statistically significant for any ED, bulimia nervosa (BN)/bulimic behavior, purging, binge disorder (BED) not otherwise specified (EDNOS).
