摘要: Toll-like receptors (TLRs), evolutionarily conserved pattern recognition receptors, play an important role in innate immunity by recognizing microbial pathogen-associated molecular patterns. Koala retrovirus (KoRV), a major koala pathogen, exists both endogenous (KoRV-A) and exogenous forms (KoRV-B to J). However, the expression profile of TLRs koalas infected with KoRV-A other subtypes is yet characterize. Here, we investigated TLR profiles range subtype infection (KoRV-A only vs. KoRV-B and/or -C). To this end, cloned partial sequences for (TLR2–10 TLR13), developed real-time PCR assays, determined mRNA patterns PBMCs tissues. All reported were expressed PBMCs, variations observed KoRV-C) compared only, which indicates implications KoRV infection. also found be differentially This first report koala, provides insights into koala’s immune response that could utilized future exploitation modulators maintenance health.
