摘要: Electricite de France has conducted a large program including experiments on large-size cladded specimens and their interpretations to evaluate different methods of fracture analysis used in French safety studies regarding the risk fast reactor pressure vessels. Four made ferritic steel A508 C13 with stainless cladding, containing small artificial underclad defects, have been tested four-point bending. Experiments at very low temperature, crack instability by cleavage without arrest was obtained base metal. The tests interpreted using local approach (Weibull model) two-dimensional finite element computations. Weibull model parameters determined axisymmetrical notched specimens. probability failure evaluated each test analyses varying mesh sizes. results show an important effect size elements tip calculated failure. Those effects are confirmed CT specimen. Also discussed is shallow flaw model.
