摘要: In this paper, the performance of Zero Padding Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (ZP-OFDM) on intensity modulation-direct detection (IM-DD) multimode fiber (MMF) links is assessed by means numerical simulations. The ZP-OFDM compared to classical Cyclic Prefixed form OFDM (CP-OFDM) which known offer a limited in terms symbol recovery subcarriers suffering severe fading. Simulations results show that able reach 29 Gbps 99.5% all installed MMF up 600 meters 14 for CP-OFDM when 64 points fast Fourier transform (FFT) size used. use makes it possible increase link length 1200 and 2400 m with 25 data rate if FFT sizes are increased 128 256 points, respectively; whereas scheme will maximum 10 both cases. can be an alternative adaptive loading schemes without need negotiation between transmitter receiver, reducing system deployment complexity increasing flexibility scenarios multiple receivers.
