摘要: Abstract The magnitude of maternal morality in developing countries and its disparity with similar statistics from the developed world has touched a responsive chord among policy makers health services program officials. What is not well appreciated, however, that mortality only tip iceberg — for every one death, acute obstetrical complications cause suffering nearly 100 women, 250 women contract sexually transmitted disease, 1000 suffer stunting and/or anemia.
