摘要: ABSTR ACT Alex is a 37-year-old male undergraduate music education major who “nontraditional” in two ways: (1) he holds nontraditional student “status” according to multiple definitions and criteria (age, marital status, etc.); (2) his informal musical background are atypical of collegiate majors. While research on role-identity development prevalent within the field education, students, whether defined by status or background, sparse. Through narrative construction Alex’s perspectives life, music, author examines with participant ways which interact teacher process quo preparation practices.
