Quantum description of spin tunneling in magnetic molecules

摘要: Abstract Starting from a phenomenological Hamiltonian originally written in terms of angular momentum operators we derive new quantum angle-based that allows for discussion on the spin tunneling. The study applicability present approach, carried out calculations with soluble quasi-spin model, shows are allowed to use our method description physical systems such as Mn12-acetate molecule, well octanuclear iron cluster, Fe8, reliable way. With interpretation tunneling is seen be direct, spectra and energy barriers those obtained, it shown they agree experimental ones.
