摘要: Achieving uniform bolt preload distribution is crucial but not easy for a multi-bolt connection. Tightening sequence one of the primary factors that affect distribution. In this paper, novel comparative study was carried out. order to monitor variations preload, smart bolts integrated with fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors were designed, fabricated, and calibrated. The FBG-enabled can accurately measure pre-load each in real time. Then, experiment performed connection two rectangular steel plates fastened sixteen compare distributions sequences, which are based European, Chinese American codes. experimental results demonstrate small differences three sequences be found using code obtains better uniformity comparison.
