摘要: A simple method for determining the third‐order nonlinear optical susceptibility of solutions by third harmonic generation (THG) is presented. The utilizes weak absorption light most liquids at 1.91 μm wavelength fundamental employed in this work. This property simplifies complex interferences between THG arising all materials (e.g., cell windows and solution) focal region. χ(3)1111 (−3ω,ω,ω,ω) values several neat organic are reported. results discussed relation to bond group additivity orientationally averaged second hyperpolarizability.
