摘要: What are the factors responsible for skilled typing performance, and do they change with age of typist? These questions were addressed in two studies by examining time accuracy keystrokes a variety typinglike activities among typists ranging speed from 17 to 104 net words per minute 19 72 years old. Typing skill was related temporal consistency making same keystroke, efficiency overlapping successive keystrokes, alternate-hand tapping, number characters to-be-typed text required maintain normal rate typing. Older slower tapping choice reaction but not typing, apparently because more sensitive farther advance currently typed character than young typists.
