摘要: Poor waste management is increasingly becoming a major challenge for municipalities, globally. Unlike previous studies in Nigeria, this study examines the implications of to regional greenhouse gas emissions based on awareness levels and perception urban inhabitants. Benin City was divided into four residential zones: core, intermediate, suburban, planned estates. Blocking utilized collect data from total 2720 randomly selected inhabitants through self-administered survey. Results reveals low level terms indiscrimination dumping waste, thereby promoting sustainable mitigation adaptation measures region-wide. It imperative integrate various aspects government services such as infrastructure, planning development, socioeconomics, public health, regulation enforcement. Waste policy strengthened via working groups, community, authorities.
