Measurement of iodine vapour pressures in the range 104-100 Pa by use of γ-AgI as the solid electrolyte in galvanic cells

摘要: Abstract A galvanic cell is presented to measure equilibrium iodine partial pressures in the Te-I system. The arrangement allows determination of rather low vapour pressures. performance at higher was verified by measuring e.m.f. formation reaction AgI from elements temperature range 300 420 K, which above melting point iodine. γ-AgI than β-AgI solid electrolyte used these investigations. An attempt made estimate lower limit measurable activities.
