摘要: CoCrMo alloys are passive and biocompatible materials widely used as joint replacements due to their good mechanical properties corrosion resistance. Electrochemical behaviour of thermal treated with different carbon content in bulk alloy composition has been analysed. Both the amount carbides chemical simulated body fluid affect electrochemical these biomedical alloys, thus dissolution rate was influenced by mentioned parameters. Lower percentage treatments favour homogenization surface (less carbides), increasing availability Cr form oxide film improving resistance alloy.
