摘要: Membrane damage as a result of dehydration was studied in Lotus corniculatus L. cv. Carroll seeds which had been pregerminated for 0, 12, and 24 hours prior to dehydration. During reimbibition, desiccation-tolerant (0- 12-hour) leaked relatively low quantities all solutes (total electrolytes, potassium, phosphate, sugar, amino acid, protein). Desiccation-sensitive (24-hour) higher levels, but evidence selective permeability remained. not manifested complete removal the diffusion barrier, although its properties were dramatically altered. Consequently, plasmalemma ruptured or torn by treatment, more subtle structural alteration occurred. The possibility that seed membranes form hexagonal rather than lamellar phase at moisture contents below 20% investigated x-ray diffraction. Phospholipids extracted from (0-hour) desiccation-sensitive hydrated 5, 10, 20, 40% water. This phospholipid-water system examined using low-and wide-angle diffraction found be exclusively lamellar, even 5% membrane leakage cytoplasmic cannot explained formation phospholipids.
