摘要: Mature plants can be induced to increase their store of ferritin (phytoferritin) when ferric iron is supplied iron-deficient bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). The particles (50–60 A in diameter) are often deposited well ordered, “crystalline” arrays. plant always located within the stroma part thylakoid-free areas plastids. Plastids from control do not exhibit such electron dense particles. It appears that stimulates production protein and becomes central core molecule. Acrylamide gel electrophoresis indicates ferritin, like mammalian a heterogeneous protein. electrophoretic pattern shows two main bands, each containing By comparison, animal three bands. Both ferritins have identical appearance microscope.
