摘要: A new species of the dicroglossid frog genus Limnonectes is described from recent and historical museum specimens collected in central southern Laos northeastern Thailand. Limnonectessavan sp. nov. has males that bear a caruncle on top head, most closely resembles L.dabanus adjacent Vietnam eastern Cambodia. However, readily distinguished L.dabanus, all other caruncle-bearing mainland Southeast Asia, by its adult larval morphology, mitochondrial DNA, advertisement call. Its description brings total number to six.
