摘要: Abstract The tegument of one-week-old and adult flukes Opisthorchis viverrini were studied by transmission electron microscopy. both stages is composed a syncytium formed processes the tegumental cells lying underneath outer-circular inner-longitudinal muscle layers. bounded trilaminate outer inner membranes; former coated with thin glycocalyx, while latter has short basal infoldings. There are 4 forms granules, namely dense spherical, discoid, light spherical discoid granules. Dense granules have similar homogeneous highly electrondense matrices; thus, they may represent different planes sections biconcave contribute their content to formation membrane glycocalyx. Light be another type granule whose filamentous microtrabecular network in tegument. Microvilli start develop juveniles become fully developed stages. size, number cristae mitochondria increasingly more numerous along development microvilli; first-week most located portion adults lie within microvilli membrane. cell irregular shape contains nucleus prominent nucleous, abundant rough endoplasmic reticulum, well Golgi complexes, ribosomes, These features indicate that an active secretory cell, product transported via microtubule-lined cytoplasmic syncytium.
