摘要: Excessive gestational weight gain (GWG) has significant public health implications due to the increased risk of birth complications and cesarean section, ultimately, rates long-term obesity for mother. Furthermore, exceeding GWG recommendations is harmful offspring as well, conferring childhood adult obesity. This suggests that pregnancy a critical period time affect outcomes across generations. Unfortunately, majority US women exceed Institute Medicine guidelines recommended GWG. In this chapter, we discuss prenatal physical activity, including current recommendations, pregnant women’s levels interventions attempt improve engagement. addition, other predictors GWG, evidence interventions, future approaches.
