Value chains for organic products in neighboring municipalities of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

摘要: ABSTRACTOrganic products in the neighboring municipalities of Nova Friburgo and Cachoeiras de Macacu follow three primary value chains that reach consumers through farmers markets, home delivery baskets, processing distribution industries. Organic are mainly certified by participatory guarantee system. Within first municipality, a maximum 86 distributed, where 60–70% final goes to farmers, having stronger set stakeholders. The second municipality has 104 distributed sale points, 23–36% farmers. Stakeholders have identified importance their certification groups potential private alliances within chains.
