摘要: Stroke and Recurrence After AF AblationIntroduction Because of the unclear prognostic effects ablation atrial fibrillation (AF), oral anticoagulation (OAC) is often continued after even in asymptomatic patients. We sought to determine frequency stroke recurrence patients on off therapeutic OAC 1 year a successful ablation. Methods Results Patients that underwent were free 12 months selected from our database. During follow-up (FU), screened for AF, changes or antiarrhythmic medication, occurrence transient ischemic attack (TIA). A total 398 (median age 60.7 years [50.8, 66.8], 25% female) investigated. The median duration FU was 529 (373, 111,3.5) days. discontinued 276 (69.3%). FU, 4 (1%) suffered 55 (13.8%) experienced AF. Persistent significantly associated with greater chance (49.1% vs. 26.8%; P = 0.001). Neither CHADS2 nor CHA2DS2-VASc-Score different without stroke. There trend toward higher percentage coronary artery disease among (50% 10%; 0.057). Conclusion The overall risk low interval at least ablation. Of note, not study population.
