摘要: In view of the necessity to prevent premature sprouting in certain cereal varieties, possibilities inducing mutation barley with respect water-sensitivity were studied. This property is a kind post-harvest dormancy dependent on amount water available during germination, and believed be natural mechanism for preventing vivipary. The influence mutagenic treatments, comprising neutrons ethyl methane-sulfonate (EMS) or different combinations recurrent treatment two consecutive generations, was studied var. Foma. Different experimental series X2, X3, X4, 1963, last treatment, families propagated further generations. germination capacity conditions expressing carried out. On comparing treated control statistically by Kolmogorov-Smirnov non-parametric test, it found that strong deviations existed 1963 following either treatment. These effects, mainly consisting increased water-sensitivity, again 1964 1965 EMS whereas these years neutron approached values. An induced heritable variation thus indicated, this confirmed inter-year regression analyses family data. latter gave high significance EMS-treated series. Significance not reached irradiated material, although effect agent has concluded from Selection changed should preferably done an X3 plant basis. heritability hybridization experiments.
