Stochastic frontiers incorporating exogenous influences on efficiency

摘要: Until very recently, the incorporation of exogenous variables in analysis productive efficiency relative to a stochastic frontier was an arbitrary process. The practitioner had assume that these were influencing either structure production possibilities or degree inefficiency. This paper proposes alternative model which allows influence both and new approach influences on overcomes some economic statistical problems plague previous approaches.
