摘要: Here we uncover the major evolutionary events shaping evolution of GID1 family gibberellin receptors in land plants at sequence, structure and gene expression levels. Gibberellic acid (gibberellin, GA) controls key developmental processes life cycle plants. By interacting with GIBBERELLIN INSENSITIVE DWARF1 (GID1) receptor, GA regulates a wide range genes through different pathways. report systematic identification classification GID1s 54 genomes, encompassing from bryophytes lycophytes, to several monocots eudicots. We investigated relationship using comparative genomics framework found strong support for previously proposed phylogenetic this identified lineage-specific expansions particular subfamilies (i.e. GID1ac GID1b) eudicot lineages (e.g. GID1b legumes). Further, both, shared divergent structural features between subgroups eudicots that provide mechanistic insights on their functions. Gene data species show least one is expressed every sampled tissue, bias towards underground tissues dry legume seeds (which typically have low levels). Taken together, our results indicate retained canonical signaling roles, whereas specialized conditions concentrations. propose functional specialization occurred initially level was later fine-tuned by mutations conferred greater affinity GID1b, including Phe residue GA-binding pocket.
