Professor Garegnani's defence of Sraffa on the material rate of profit

摘要: In two articles (1973, 1975) and in my Economics of David Ricardo (1979) I have given a blow-by-blow account the evidence relating to Ricardo's position on profits. Professor Garegnani's (1982) criticisms do not lead me retract. Much his argument is based circumstantial fails make accurate use what actually wrote matter, although he aware materials available. The most useful path for now review some key issues, limiting myself, however, an examination presented by Sraffa, who originated hypothesis which dispute. There no point going further if this matter resolved.
