摘要: READING BETWEEN THE LINES: CULTURAL SEXUAL SCRIPTS AND COLLEGIATE BEHAVIORS Lauren B. Yadlosky, B.S. Marquette University, 2015 Cultural sexual scripts provide individuals with a general understanding of how to respond in situations given their environment. College students navigate the college culture keeping various elements these mind. Utilizing 1,007 undergraduates, researcher investigated current relevance traditional and relationships between levels cultural (i.e., collective versus individual perceptions them) relation reported engagement. Researchers also explored factors that predict relationships. Results suggested still largely reflect ones, depending on behavior being assessed. Individual more closely aligned actual than scripts. Lastly, participant age, sex, agreeableness generally predicted as well behavior. These findings suggest programming promoting health campuses should specifically target one’s personal expectations rather merely attempting shift expectations. Future research continue explore they relate engagement additional (e.g., interpersonal) better understand students’ sex lives interact culture.
