High-Temperature Alloys: Theory and Design

摘要: This conference, co-sponsored by the Metals and Ceramics Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) TMS-AIME Committee on Alloy Phases, was unique in that it brought together physicists metallurgists for three days to interface theoretical practical aspects alloying with emphasis high-temperature alloys. The alloy theorists are working feverishly developing mathematical models ultimately predict phase diagrams based first principles, viz, atomic number. alloys past experience “enlightened empiricism.” By end this decade, we will look back constructive melting dozens small heats as a form alchemy.
