摘要: We report on a novel small organic molecule comprising perylene chromophore fused to six-membered ring containing persistent nitroxide radical give perylene-nitroxide, or PerNO•. This is robust, compact in which the closely bound but separated by saturated carbon atoms, thus limiting electronic coupling between and radical. present both ultrafast transient absorption experiments time-resolved EPR (TREPR) studies probe spin dynamics of photoexcited PerNO• utilize X-ray crystallography molecular structure stacking motifs solid state. The ability control properties molecules having multiple spins as well possibility assembling ordered state materials from them important for implementing effective molecule-based spintronics.
