摘要: An increasing diversity of technologies are being used to remediate contaminated sites, yet there remains little understanding the level acceptance that residents living near these sites hold for technologies, and what factors influence their acceptance. This lack hinders remediation industry's ability effectively engage with about technology selection, at a time when such engagement is become part parcel policy practice. The study develops on wider research into public using data from telephone survey 2009 thirteen across Australia. Within measured through residents' support application in local area. Firstly, regression analysis closed-ended questions, coding open-ended questions combined identify main predictors technologies. Secondly, was analysed Crawford Ostrom's Institutional Grammar Tool norms sanctions guiding willingness negotiate support. identifies associated personal demographic characteristics, physical context institution during processes, themselves which predict Bioremediation had higher levels than chemical, thermal Furthermore, paper core set use
