摘要: Access-based product-service systems (AB-PSS) have the potential to lower environmental impacts. Currently, a lack of consumer acceptance and, consequently, low adoption levels AB-PSS are challenges preventing realisation their sustainability potential. This study proposes temporary product customisation barriers for AB-PSS. We investigated whether through modifying appearance an easily changeable attribute typical product, and thereby changing personality, could improve while limiting impact on sustainability. To explore this, 3 × 1 between-group design experiment was conducted with consumers who familiar offerings similar we tested. The results indicate that respondents strong preference, as is widely recognised, products in Infusing meaning intangible value into accessed can simultaneously lead wider market individual consumers’ satisfaction. Our findings confirm increases if fulfils needs along functionality needs. be used think about new ways which enhance diffusion market.
