Three new Drosophila markers of intracellular membranes

摘要: The need for cellular markers that permit a quick and accurate evaluation of protein's subcellular localization has increased with the surge new data generated by Drosophila genome project. In this report, we present three ubiquitously expressed transgenes green fluorescent protein variant (enhanced yellow protein) been targeted to different intracellular membrane targets: Golgi apparatus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum. These serve as an internal standard characterizing or means tracking dynamics organelles during normal abnormal developmental processes. We have also examined fixation artifacts using these constructs illustrate effects permeabilization on organization.
