摘要: Abstract Acid-catalyzed biodiesel production processes offer a competitive alternative for using waste cooking oil as raw materials and are less complex than alkali-catalyzed approaches. However, acid-catalyzed not yet commercialized because of high energy requirements, especially the recovery excess methanol purification glycerol. We have developed an advanced process with savings through application self-heat recuperation technology glycerol purification. Both sensible latent heat were recirculated within proposed process, significantly reducing requirements. Simulation showed that total requirement was 378.7 kW h per ton biodiesel, some 71% lower conventional process.
