摘要: The intercellular junctions of epithelial cells are four types (Figures 1.1 and 1.2). There two adhesive or adherens junctions, firstly desmosomes maculae adherentes, secondly the so-called intermediate often zonular in structure, zonulae adherentes. Tight also generally structure called occludentes to denote their function occluding paracellular channels. Gap like desmosomes, punctate structures that provide low resistance channels between for purpose metabolic co-operation communication. Since tight gap dependent upon binding structural components, they contribute adhesion as well performing specialized functions. In addition these cell receives a contribution from non-junction molecules which present on parts membrane having no apparent ultrastructural specialization. Our is review current state knowledge non-junctional mechanisms with specific reference cells.
