摘要: Data on the thermoregulation of Anolis limifrons in Panama suggest that at least some tropical species are less warm adapted than previously thought. has a lower minimum voluntary temperature, eccritic and critical thermal maximum majority temperate zone lizards thus far studied. Thermoregulatory adjustment is by behavioral mechanisms as indicated observations basking orientation. A seasonality preferred temperature field data from wet dry seasons. It suggested season an adaptation to conserve water or minimize loss. Anoles (A. A. frenatus) colsed canopy forests grassland auratus, whereas ecotone tropidogaster) intermediate its thermoregulatory characteristics. Differences dermal morphology three Panamanian anoles be varied capacities heat gain.
