Nickel and iron in saliva of patients with fixed orthodontic appliances.

摘要: Saliva was obtained from patients receiving treatment with fixed orthodontic appliances. One saliva sample taken without appliances, and another at least 3 weeks after placement. In some samples were also immediately insertion of the appliance. Nickel iron quantified by electrothermal atomic absorption spectroscopy. There a large scatter in results. No statistically significant differences found either concentrations or absolute masses nickel appliances those when had been mouth for weeks. For placement appliance, there increase both iron.
