摘要: Dog mandibles were augmented with either hydroxylapatite (HA) alone or HA combined autogenous bone. Within the limited time frame of this experiment (16 weeks) group which received did not demonstrate induction bony ingrowth further than 1-2 mm into ridge. However, animals bone demonstrated an active, lamellar-type ingrowth, maturing haversian systems, and vascular elements forming throughout entire area, extending to overlying soft tissue interface. The clinical assessment both types ridges (HA bone) similar; formed hard, firm at approximately same rate. This observation is consistent human experience mixed 5 for patients who have severe mandibular atrophy whom increased bulk crucial, a combination should be advantageous because extent ingrowth.
