摘要: In 1979, pustular dermatitis caused by a virus belonging to the family Poxviridae , genus Parapoxvirus was observed among camels in some areas of Mongolia . The morbidity adults ranged from 10 80%, 2 3-month-old suckling between 50-70% and it reached 100% 1-year-old animals. beginning, pustules developed around mouth followed papular elevations scab formation. designated camel contagious ecthyma (CCE) grew on chorionallantoic membrane (CAM) 11-day-old chick embryos (CE). disease transferred scarified skin camels. Vaccination with material containing CCE seemed be promising. contrast, were not protected after immunization vaccinia vaccine against sheep goat ecthyma.
