摘要: Mammalian forms of neuropeptide Y (NPY) for which the amino acid sequences have previously been determined, are human, pig, ox, rabbit, rat, and guinea-pig polypeptides. The only difference among these is at position 17, where pig ox NPY Leu others Met. We now show that sheep differs from all earlier characterized mammalian by having Asp instead Glu 10. At 17 it has as do both NPY. Consequently, 3 different structural types known.
