Effect of Casting Modulus on Microstructure and Segregation in K441 Superalloy Casting

摘要: Four castings with different modulus have been designed to simulate thickness sections of a turbine blade during casting process. The microstructure has observed by optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron (SEM). micro-segregation was tested energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) the macro-segregation analyzed using Metalscan 2500 spectrometers. experimental results show that is affected apparently. smaller modulus, finer microstructure. average grain size 0.29, 1.57, 3.16 5.0 mm 0.3, 1.5, 2.7 4.3 mm, volume fraction eutectic 0, 0.1%, 0.2% 1.0%, respectively. micro/macro segregation lower level. When increases, content Al while W, Cr Mo decreases both in inner near boundary. higher than boundary, W
