摘要: This chapter presents a classification of the human brainstem structures, including most neuronal cell groups in brainstem. Human homologs nuclei identified other mammals are also described as attempts to extend overall organizational schemata that have been proposed for mammalian species. A glaring structural similarity across species is reflected by an impressive number homologies recognized between and animals. While it can be hypothesized there nearly every nucleus rat brainstem, differences even strain occur, this compels us establish not extrapolation but direct observation tissue. Functional mechanisms on hand, remain hidden connections, chemoarchitecture, physiology groups. These characteristics emerging from encouraging non-invasive imaging studies expanding creative application chemical analysis brain.
