摘要: Abstract Introduction The aim of this retrospective study was to compare the outcome thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) that medical therapy in patients with acute type B dissection (TBD). Materials and methods From July 1996 April 2008, 88 presenting TBD underwent either TEVAR (group A, n = 38) or B, = 50). Indications for were intractable pain, branch compromise resulting end-organ ischemia, rapid dilatation rupture. Follow-up performed postinterventionally, at 3, 6 12 months yearly thereafter included clinical examinations computed tomography (CT), as well diameter measurements assessment thrombosis. Results Mean follow-up 33 group A 36 B. overall mortality rate 23.7% 24% where 4 died late In complications 9 endoleaks retrograde dissections, 3 converted open surgery 2 needed secondary intervention. None developed paraplegia. TEVAR. maximal increased both groups. Regarding extent thrombosis, our analyses showed slightly better results after TEVAR, but they also a tendency towards approximation between two groups during follow-up. Conclusion is feasible treatment option TBD. However, several serious may occur it should therefore be reserved life-threatening symptoms.
